Orsam “Sami” Ahmed, DPT, CMTPT
A Maryland native, Sami Ahmed completed his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology with a focus in biomechanics from the University of Maryland in 2012. He then completed his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia.
Sami has served OACM as a Clinic Director for various locations for the last 5 years and now serves as the Director of Therapy Business Operations.
Throughout his career, he has focused his efforts on helping athletes of all ages and backgrounds return to their sport after injury. Sami brings a unique set of skills to the Orthopedic Associates of Central Maryland Physical Therapy team with over 10 years of experience in competitive martial arts and an additional seven years of gymnastics and acrobatics experience.
Outside of work, Sami Ahmed is an avid Lecturer and Instructor for the University of Maryland School of Public Health. His coursework is emphasized around Neurophysiology, Motor Control, and advanced practices associated with Athlete specific training principles.
