recently welcomed two new members to its team of orthopaedic professionals.
Scott Adams, MD
Scott Adams, MD, a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in sports medicine, joined OACM in October 2012 in our Eldersburg location. Dr. Adams has extensive training in general orthopaedic surgery and additional fellowship training in sports medicine, arthroscopy, and minimally invasive surgery.
Areas of orthopaedic specialty include:
- Arthroscopy and minimally invasive surgery of the shoulder, wrist, knee, and ankle
- Arthroscopic ACL and multi-ligament knee reconstructions
- Meniscus and cartilage restoration and repair
- Arthroscopic rotator cuff and shoulder instability repair
- Surgery of the foot and ankle
- Joint replacement surgery, and more
Cool Fact About Dr. Adams: Dr. Adams served as a team doctor for the Duke University basketball and football teams, as well as the men’s and women’s soccer teams. He is also a physician with the United States Soccer Federation and travels internationally with youth national teams, even providing medical coverage at the Under-20 Women’s World Cup in Japan.
Patricia Duke, CRNP
Nurse Practitioner Patricia Duke, CRNP works closely with the physicians at OACM, diagnosing, treating and caring for patients with all types of orthopaedic conditions and sports injuries in our Eldersburg location. For more than 16 years she has been caring for the specialized needs of orthopaedic patients. She previously worked with a leading spine specialist to help diagnose and manage patients with a wide range of back and spine issues and also has extensive experience in caring for total joint and orthopaedic surgery patients.
