Maureen Velasco, DPT
Maureen Velasco completed both her undergraduate and graduate studies at Ithaca College in New York, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Health Studies and a Doctor of Physical Therapy. She spent nearly 9 years practicing in a hospital-based outpatient orthopedic clinic in Western New York developing her skills as a general orthopedic clinician. Her background gives her a breadth of knowledge related to pre- and post-operative orthopedic surgeries, as well as extensive training in concussion rehabilitation.
Maureen Velasco prides herself on personalized treatment plans to help patients reach the goals which are most important to them. She has worked as part of a multi-disciplinary sports medicine team during her tenure in Western New York, lending her experience in treating high school and collegiate athletes. She particularly enjoys helping people return to work or sport following injury or surgery.
In her free time, she enjoys running, hiking, trying new foods and visiting her family in New York. The most fun she has is raising her two wild boys. She recently relocated to Howard County from Buffalo, NY (Go Bills!), and is excited to explore what the area has to offer.
