Danielle James, DPT, CMTPT
A Howard County native, Danielle James graduated from the University of Delaware in 2012 with a degree in kinesiology and applied physiology. She then earned her doctorate in physical therapy from University of Maryland School of Medicine in 2015.
Danielle specializes in orthopedics and sports medicine, with an emphasis on manual physical therapy for the spine and extremities. She has taken several courses on the Maitland® Approach, which is a diagnostic technique that utilizes assessment and treatment of the patient’s signs and symptoms to develop an effective treatment plan. She is also trained and certified in Trigger Point Dry Needling through Myopain Seminars.
Having been heavily involved in soccer and lacrosse in her younger years, Danielle James has always had a passion for sports and enjoys working with athletes of all ages. Since becoming a mother, she’s recently developed an interest in low back and pelvic pain as it relates to pregnancy and postpartum and has taken several Herman Wallace pelvic rehabilitation courses. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, running, cycling, and traveling.
